Born in USSR and living in Austria, artist Tanja Playner shares optimism and zest for life with
her strikingly colorful unique works of art. With her works of art, the artist communicates with
people in order to make modern society a little better. She has managed to thrill millions of
people with her art. On Twitter follow the artist about 500,000 followers, on facebook about
1,000,000 fans, as also many thousands followers on instagram worldwide. In social media,
the artist reaches more than 15 million people a month with her art.
Critics compared her to a mix of Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Strokes by Picasso. The
British Vogue publishes the artwork "Mona Lisa" by Tanja Playner under Vogue's Masterpiece
... and GQ Magazine publishes the work "Sweet Whisper" in November 2015 alongside
Daniel Craig & Monica Belucci and Photograph Ranking with her ranking among the top 300
artists worldwide on artnet. In April 2016 Tanja Playner was listed in the Top 5 Twitter Kings in
the Media Magazine in 2nd place. In January 2019 she was listed under the Top internet stars
of Austria in one of the biggest newspaper in Austria "Österreich".
Tanja Playner also deals with modern objects, consumer products and people's emotions.
She speaks in her art about the way of our society and touches the hearts of the beholder
with colorful colors in conjunction with positive emotions. Her motives are not sad emotions,
and they are the opposite of cartoons.
Since 2018 Tanja Playner has been experimenting with body plasticity, space and the human
sense of self in relation to objects and space. In combination with her already developed
style, the artworks often show controversial depictions of the human body to reality. In
contrast to the artist Georg Baselitz, who mainly turns the human body upside down, Tanja
Playner places the human body perpendicular to objects. Split upper bodies and lower bodies
can often be seen on the artworks, placed perpendicularly, parallel or transversely to one
another.

With the conspicuousness of her pop art motifs, she reached number 11 in the July 2017
ranking of the top 300 artists worldwide on artnet and stood in front of Damien Hirst,
Fernando Botero, Gerhard Richter, Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama, Alex Katz, Mr. Brainwash,
Takashi Murakami. The artworks of Tanja Playner have been featured in over 50 international
exhibitions such as the Antoni Gaudi Modernist Museum in Barcelona, as far as Carrousel du
Louvre Paris during the FIAC Art Week 2014 - 2019, Art Basel Miami Art Week 2015, Art
Basel Art Week 2019, 2022, 2023 as well as at the Art Biennale Basel, shown during Cannes
Film Festival 2015 - 2019, 2022, 2023 and Quest Hall Harajuku in Tokyo. The grandson of
Ferdinand Porsche Ernst Piech has shown 50 large-format works of Tanja Playner in his
museum "FahrTraum" and and also he has art of Tanja Playner in his collection. Also the
actress Ornella Muti has the artwork of Tanja Playner in her own.
Tanja Playner is one of the few artists worldwide who was dedicated her own art museum at
the age of 32. Pop art artist Tanja Playner not only creates an exceptional presence in social
media, but alongside Banksy she is one of the few living artists who have shown their art at
the Musee du Louvre Paris and during the La Biennale in Venezia 2019 were present with
their performance.. In October 2018 Tanja Playner presented the artwork "Mona lady
eccentric" from the project "Lady eccentric" at the Musee du Louvre next to the most
expensive work of art in the world Mona Lisa of Leonardo da Vinci. The artist's Pop Art
artworks have been presented at international art fairs from New York, Los Angeles, San
Diego, Dubai, Barcelona to Tokyo, UK and Miami.
